Marsul Indústria e Comércio de Proteínas recycles its solid waste, such as packaging for inputs, discarded solid waste from the process, discarded electrical materials, among others, by selling or transferring these materials to recyclers who are legally constituted and approved to reuse the materials. Marsul has its own effluent treatment plant and controls atmospheric emissions, in order to deliver effluents and emissions to the environment that are fully compliant with the legal parameters in force in the Municipality of Montenegro and the State of Rio Grande do Sul.

Marsul is duly integrated into the community in which it is located and is committed to corporate social responsibility. The company contributes to the public authorities' social actions, in order to help tackle food and social security problems in poor communities in the region where its site is located.
